Singapore oh Singapore where do you go and what do you do? What do you need and what should you bring? I’ll do my best to help you plan out a simple itinerary for a 3 day trip to Singapore. Whether you are coming from America, Europe or another destination Singapore is a very welcoming country.
What do you need?
- Pass port that is still valid 6 months after your arrival in to the country
- Fill out a sgc form about three days before your arrival time including the day you arrive.
- Have enough funds for your stay.
Marina Bay
Arguably The center of attention for the lion city . Marina bay is the center focal point of tourist visiting Singapore and the pride of Singaporeans. In this one spot you can see a myriad of different attractions and hot spot locations. The Singapore flyer, the Singapore art museum/center, the famous marina bay sands hotel and casino and the famous merlion hence the name and moniker for Singapore being lion city. The area also boasts a little attraction that isn’t quite an attraction but its unquestionably unique design is tour worthy. The helix bridge that was designed to mimic the look of human DNA. And depending on your location you can also see the light shows below the marina bay sands hotel and shopping mall or the gardens by the bay. A day trip here is worthwhile before you move on to any other destination.
Sentosa Island
While on a trip you always have to be prepared for unexpected situations and events which is why if your going to be using your phone laptop or any device that needs internet connection it’s wise to bring a VPN service along the trip. Sentosa island is a relatively safe and family friendly place but keep in mind not everyone is you and your family some people always have ill intentions if anything happens it can cause a serious problems especially because it’s a vacation. I would recommend having an insurance plan just in case. Sentosa island has a lot of options when it comes to family fun too just solo adventure. If your like myself I’m more for a solo adventure and would prefer to enjoy things on my own pace. If on Sentosa island check out the universal studios or the Singapore zoo. If you’re going from the mainland island you have several options for traveling to Sentosa island. Train , buses a uber style option or my favorite cable cars and ferry’s. From what I know the train to Sentosa island a very well known route so it gets crowded if your willing to spend a few extra dollars grab a uber or as I recall it being called a “Grab” saves time but more expensive. The ferry limits you to a set schedule. Once you’ve gotten to Sentosa island if your willing to skip the beaches head directly to universal studios.
My Conclusion:
The little island city country of Singapore has more to offer then just Sentosa Island and Marina bay or gardens by the bay theirs also Chinatown, little India and hiking in Singapore are just a few of the exciting places to visit and enjoy. I can safely say that you should just visit places that you can enjoy without
expectations and just go with the flow.
